Gregory O'Donnell

Owner - Principal Instructor


Instructor and owner of Texas Forensic Training & Consulting, Gregory O’Donnell graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 and has served 16 years in law enforcement. Greg has been employed with the Sugar Land Police Department since 1995 and has served thirteen years in the crime scene unit, eight of which have been as a sergeant of the unit. During this time he also served as the department’s evidence custodian, AFIS/LiveScan coordinator, and latent laboratory manager. He holds a Master Peace Officer license in the state of Texas. Greg has held certification through the International Association for Identification (I.A.I.) as Crime Scene Technician, Crime Scene Analyst, and currently holds certification as a Senior Crime Scene Analyst. He was appointed Chairman of the Texas Division I.A.I. Crime Scene Certification Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of the association. Greg is a past-president of the Southeast Texas Association for Identification and Investigation. He has testified as an expert in municipal, county, district, and federal courts regarding his investigations. Greg is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Forensic Science through the University of Florida.



Max Hunter

Senior Instructor


Max Hunter grew up in Kilgore Texas and graduated in 1992 from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology. He became a police officer with the University of Texas Police Department at Houston in 1993 and later joined the Sugar Land Police Department as a patrol officer in 1995. In 2002 Max transferred to the Crime Scene Unit as an Investigator where he is the senior CSI. He has investigated a variety of cases and testified at various levels in the judicial system. Max currently holds certification through the International Association for Identification as a Crime Scene Investigator.
